Austin Dermaplaning, also known as microplaning or blading, is a non-invasive procedure for the removal of the outermost layers of dead skin cells on the face.  The dermaplaning treatment involves exfoliation of targeted areas of the surface layers of the skin using a very small blade. In Austin Dermaplaning is typically MORE exfoliation than microdermabrasion and chemical peels. Unlike exfoliating peel procedures, dermaplaning in Austin uses no chemicals, and therefore causes less irritation.  Treatments are usually spaced three to four weeks apart.

You will experience an enhanced penetration of skin care products following treatment. Dermaplaning is a non-invasive, skin rejuvenating treatment designed to give you smoother, more youthful, healthier looking skin. Austin Dermaplaning is performed safely and gently using a sterile surgical blade, which is comparable to a shaving razor. Your professional esthetician will hold your skin tightly while softly stroking the blade at a 45 degree angle. This procedure uses no acidic formulas and is relatively quick and painless.

Once the treatment is complete, a higher rate of skin cell turnover is triggered, producing a smoother, more supple and vibrant facial complexion. This no-down-time procedure is a quick and easy fix for dull skin and nuisance fuzz.
