Laser and light therapy procedures are becoming increasingly popular here at our Austin spa, and considering how versatile the treatments can be, it’s easy to see why. They can resurface, tighten and lighten skin and can be performed on various areas of the body to improve the figure and create a smoother, healthier complexion.

Strawberry Laser is an FDA approved treatment method which uses Class 2, 3B laser beams to remove fat and give instant, noticeable results. It is completely safe, pain-free and clinically proven to remove an average of 3.7 inches from the mid-section within just eight 20-minute long treatment sessions.

Invasix have created a range of highly effective skin contouring and tightening tools, each of which work in a slightly different way in order to tackle lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and cellulite in different areas of the body. All Invasix devices use radio-frequency technology to heat layers of deep dermal tissue in order to break down existing collagen and stimulate the production of growth factors which work to tighten and smooth the skin.

Forma is very similar to Fractora but is more specifically designed for skin tightening and definition as it allows the radio-frequency energy to penetrate deeper into the skin. It allows the physician to have greater control over temperature in order to provide the optimal treatment for each individual patient. Forma is designed for the face, whilst Forma Plus is for larger treatment areas such as the arms, legs and buttocks.

A non-invasive alternative to liposuction, BodyFX uses radio-frequency energy to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Its effects are trifold; it smooths out cellulite, shrinks fat and tightens the skin in order to reshape and contour the body. It can be used almost anywhere on the body, but it is most effective on the upper arms, thighs, hips, stomach and buttocks where dimpled skin and cellulite are most common.

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a versatile treatment that can be used both for removing hair and for lightening uneven skin tone caused by rosacea, UV damage and age spots. The Photofacial IPL device emits lightwaves which pass through the skin and target melanin (the pigment responsible for dark spots in the skin) and hemoglobin (the cause of rosacea). The light waves are able to break down the melanin and hemoglobin in order that they can be absorbed by the body; the result is that these imperfections are less visible and the skin looks smoother, lighter and brighter.

Although all of the laser and light therapy procedures available here can tighten, smooth and rejuvenate the skin, it’s important to use the right one for individual skin problems in order to achieve the best results.
